Time Warner Cable News' Valarie D’Elia checks out a small boutique hotel in Paris with a serious case of ooh-la-la in this Travel With Val report.

Leopard prints are all the rage and one Paris hotel in the Marais district claims that their namesake, Josephine Bonaparte, might have started the trend.

The hotel de Jobo, just opening its doors this year, is an homage to the lover and eventual wife of Napoleon Bonaparte, a woman with a penchant for design.

It is to her that the first leopard print rug is attributed. And the interior designer of this 24 room boutique hotel, New York born Bambi Sloan, uses Jobo as her muse.

Occupying a former 17th century convent, the hotel evokes the Napoleonic period between 1799 and 1815.

Not only was JoBo wild about leopard and panther prints, but roses. These details are in lavish evidence with reprints of period wallpapers, and bathrooms in mosaic tiles and marble, a favorite feature that I enjoyed as a recent guest of the hotel.

This 4-star hotel and others like it have been hit hard by the downturn in tourism caused by terrorist attacks.

So this means, you can book a night at this stylish little gem for as low as $210.00 a night with a lovely breakfast buffet.
