There are some Disney trips that are long on adventure when you are short on time. Time Warner Cable News’ Valarie D'Elia filed the following Travel With Val report.

For the past decade, Mickey Mouse’s reach has extended beyond the theme parks with its popular Adventures By Disney brand - comprehensive guided experiences for small groups that travel the globe.
And now, Disney is introducing four condensed versions over long weekends.

"Our Nashville tour, we have New York City, we have winter in Wyoming, and the one that we’ve been on, our San Francisco getaway," says Eleni Richey, Adventure Guide at Adventures by Disney.

Valarie joined the media preview of the Bay Area trip, covering a lot of ground from tourist attractions  to natural attractions, like Muir Woods.

With transportation options from bikes to buses, exclusive excursions include a visit to a "who knew" Disney-owned vineyard in Napa Valley.

“We wanted to do something very special, so we decided to do a blending seminar, not something we do for anybody else,” says Ray Vigil of Silverado Vineyards.

Meanwhile, kids turn locally grown olive oil into sugar scrub.

"It’s pretty fun, mixing all this stuff together," says one kid.

Another VIP visit takes guests beyond the iconic Yoda fountain, to a private area of Disney-owned Lucas Film Studios — best known for its Star Wars franchise.

The long weekends include upscale accommodations at hotels such as the Fairmont in San Francisco,  most meals—many at buzz worthy restaurants— and a personal photographer. Airfare is extra.

Rates for the San Francisco trip start around $2700 for adults, $2600 for kids.

In the end, it’s a quick way to ‘pin down’ some quality time for busy families.

"They are some really tangible souvenirs that they can base their memories around,” says Richey.
