A man found walking on the subway tracks caused major delays in Manhattan.

One rider captured video of the man and says her train slammed on the breaks to avoid hitting him.

It happened around 8 a.m. Thursday between the Christopher and 14th Street stations on the 1, 2, and 3 lines.

The MTA temporarily turned off power to all tracks from Penn Station to Christopher Street as a result.

Police took the 46-year-old to Bellevue Hospital where he voluntarily underwent a psychiatric evaluation.

They say he will not be charged at this time.

It is unclear why or how he got onto the subway tracks.
