Today marks the start of a year's worth of station renovations along the N line in Brooklyn.

Coney Island-bound platforms at seven stations between Fort Hamilton Parkway and 86th Street will be closed until late 2018.

Southbound N trains will skip all Brooklyn stops except Bay Parkway and Eighth Avenue.

"It's not right, man, because we got to take the F train going out there and now we gotta take the D train going that way," said one commuter. "And sometimes, these places get packed.

"It's taking more time than ever, and service changes always make, like, some interruption for the people," said another.

"They want to charge like $3, and I work in the morning, at 7 in the morning, and for me to find out that the train's not working, like, that's upsetting. It kills my time," siad a third.

The work is the third phase of a $395 million renovation project.

Shuttle buses will be provided near certain stations as an alternative.
