Partial train service has resumed out of Hoboken terminal less than two weeks after a train crash killed one woman and injured 100 others.

New Jersey Transit says eight of the station's seventeen tracks are now open, but trains are still running on a modified schedule.

The remaining tracks will stay closed while repairs to the damaged station continue.

A new rule is also being implemented that requires a conductor to join the engineer when a train pulls into the terminal.

Meanwhile, federal investigators are set to meet in Washington Tuesday as they continue to look into the cause of the September 29 crash.

They say the event data recorder and forward-facing camera revealed the train was going more than twice the speed limit as it entered the station.

The data also shows the train's engineer, Thomas Gallagher, hit the emergency brake less than a second before the crash.

Gallagher was alone at the time and told investigators he has no memory of what happened.

Meanwhile, Senator Charles Schumer is calling for new train safety requirements, including inward-facing cameras installed on all trains in the metro area.
