A familiar face to Mets fans has a new job in Brooklyn.

Former Met Edgardo Alfonzo will be the new manager of the Cyclones.

Alfonzo played in Queens from 1995 through 2002.

In 2000, he made the All-Star team and helped lead the Amazins to the World Series.

The 43-year-old has been a Cyclones coach for the last three years.

The Cyclones open the season June 19 on the road against the Staten Island Yankees. Their home opener is the following night, also against their cross-town rivals.
