Before some of the world's best tennis players practice drop shots for the U.S. Open on Monday, some young tennis fanatics got a chance to display their skills Saturday.

"I like the tennis stadium a lot and I love tennis, so I always come here, and it's very fun for me," one young tennis player said.

The annual event, the Arthur Ashe Kids' Day, is now in its 21st year and was held at National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens.

It included free activities like drills with top athletes and a chance to watch the pros, like tennis superstars Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic compete in exhibition matches

Organizers said people of all ages and all skills were welcome to attend.

"We have 18 different courts in action with activities for kids of all ages," said Todd Noonan, the associate producer of the Arthur Ashe Kids' Day. "We have interactive tennis and skills activities from kids who have never picked up a racket before — beginners — all the way up to advanced players."

Families were able to enjoy live musical performances from artists like rapper Flo Rida and Disney Channel star Laura Marano.
