The Yankees' 2015 season is over after the Bronx Bombers fell 3-0 to the Houston Astros in the AL Wild Card game at Yankee Stadium Tuesday evening.

Astros starter Dallas Keuchel led the way for the Astros with six shutout innings. He allowed three hits, walked one and struck out seven.

Keuchel ran into trouble in his last inning of work, but managed to get Alex Rodriguez to fly out to center field with runners on first and third for the final out of the inning. Three Astros relievers combined to preserve the shutout over the last three innings, allowing just one walk between them.

Yankees pitcher Masahiro Tanaka took the loss. He allowed two runs, both earned on four hits in five innings of work. He walked three and struck out three.

The two runs Tanaka gave up came on solo home runs by Colby Rasmus in the top of the second inning and Carlos Gomez in the top of the fourth inning. Each home run came on the first pitch of their respective innings.

The Astros' Jose Altuve added an RBI single in the top of the seventh for the 3-0 margin.

The Astros move on to play the Kansas City Royals in the American League Division Series.
