American Pharoah ended his illustrious career Saturday with a win at the Breeders' Cup.

The colt won comfortably by six-and-a-half lengths in his last race before retirement.

American Pharoah made history earlier this year when he won the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont for the first Triple Crown in 37 years. He lost in the Travers Stakes at Saratoga Race Course in August.

He won nine of his 11 career starts, earning more than $8.6 million.
