Jacob deGrom out-pitched Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, and the Mets got a big Game 1 win in the NLDS, topping the Dodgers 3-1 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

The Mets lead the best-of-five series one game to none.

DeGrom was the star of the evening. In seven innings of work, he did not allow a run. He gave up five hits, walked one and struck out 13.

Daniel Murphy got New York on the board first with a home run off Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw in the top of the fourth inning.

It remained 1-0 until David Wright lined a two-run single off reliever Pedro Baez with two out in the seventh.

The Dodgers got on the board in the bottom of the eighth when Adrian Gonzalez singled off Tyler Clippard, but closer Jeurys Familia came in and got the final four outs to seal the win for New York.

Game 2 is tonight, with Noah Syndergaard starting opposite Zack Greinke.

First pitch is just after 9 p.m.

The series will then move to Citi Field for Game 3 on Monday.
