The Giants and the rest of the NFL are mourning the loss of the woman often called the "First Lady of Football."

Ann Mara died early Sunday morning.

Her son and Giants' co-owner John Mara said she died of complications from a fall a couple weeks ago.

Mara and her Hall-of-Fame husband, Wellington, were one of the founding families of the league.

Wellington died in 2005.

Mara attended almost every Giants game, home or away, for six decades.

She received an award for promoting diversity before last year's Super Bowl.

Ann Mara was 85 years old.
