When the Rangers lace up for their next season, they'll have an outdoor game on their schedule.
The NHL made it official last night that the Rangers will play the Buffalo Sabres at Citi Field in the 2018 Winter Classic on New Year's Day.
This will be the first Winter Classic ever played in the city.
The Rangers played two outdoor games at Yankee Stadium in 2014 as part of the NHL's Stadium Series.
Their only appearance in the Winter Classic was in Philadelphia in 2012.
