It was a who's who in local and national politics at the annual Alfred E. Smith dinner in Midtown Thursday night. But one New Yorker did not get a warm reception.

Mayor Bill de Blasio was booed when he was introduced.

The mayor sat close to Governor Andrew Cuomo, despite the recent friction between the two leaders.

The annual fundraiser is best known as a lighthearted event where politicians joke about one another. Keynote speaker Paul Ryan continued that tradition.

"A lot of people, they ask me, you know, guy from Wisconsin, 'What's it like to work on a daily basis with an abrasive New Yorker with a loud mouth?' But you know, once you get to know him, Chuck Schumer's not all that bad," Ryan said.

The mayor and governor left the event without shaking hands.
