A city congressman is making a push to ensure some September 11th relief workers get to stay in the country.

Queens and Bronx representative Joe Crowley is introducing federal legislation which, if passed, would give green cards to undocumented workers who helped in the cleanup after the September 11th attacks.

The green cards would give them legal, permanent status in the United States.

Last month, Crowley helped secure the release of a Queens man, who helped clean up the site, after immigration authorities detained him for several months.
