NEW YORK —  President-elect Donald Trump's campaign manager is headed to the West Wing.

Trump says Kellyanne Conway will serve as counselor to the president, becoming the highest-ranking woman in his administration.

She will work with senior leadership to help execute Trump's legislative priorities and actions.

The Republican strategist took over as campaign manager over the summer and helped guide Trump to victory in November.

She has been an active member of his White House Transition team.
