A lawyer for a former top aide to Governor Andrew Cuomo denies his client is in talks with federal prosecutors about a possible plea bargain in his corruption case.

Prosecutors Monday received a 30-day delay in a scheduled court appearance for Joe Percoco, who is charged with shaking down upstate companies seeking lucrative state contracts.

Five other men charged in the case also received 30-day delays after prosecutors said in court papers they've been busy in "discussions with counsel about the disposition of this case."

But Percoco's lawyer and a lawyer for another defendant insist that they are not in any kind of plea bargain talks with U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara.

Percoco's next scheduled appearance is November 23.
