Queens State Assembly Member Phil Goldfeder will not seek re-election when his term ends at the end of the year, his office confirmed Thursday.

Goldfeder said he will not be seek a fourth term as the 23rd District's representative in Albany, a district that includes the Rockaways, Ozone Park, Howard Beach, and Broad Channel.

Speaking to the newspaper The Wave, Goldfeder said he is leaving office to spend more time with his family.

Goldfeder said he will continue to fight for the issues that matter most to his constituents in his time left in office.
