Jury deliberations began Friday in former state Senator Malcolm Smith's bribery trial.

Smith is facing charges for allegedly trying to buy his way onto the ballot during the 2013 race for mayor.

Former Queens Party Vice Chairman Vincent Tabone was also accused in the scheme.

The trial lasted four weeks and included hours of undercover video.

One juror who was dismissed Friday said she thought both were guilty.

"I really looked into each charge. and I just feel like they were, they both knew what was going on, they both were aware of the bribes and the money," the juror said.

"It's been a long trial, and I think, as the judge said, fairly and effectively and efficiently tried, so we just remain optimistic," said Gerald Shangel, Smith's attorney.

Jury deliberations resume on Monday.
