Following his arrest on corruption charges on Thursday, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver will meet with his fellow politicians in Albany tomorrow.

The state legislature will be in session in the morning and Silver will be there—despite his scandal.

Silver surrendered to federal authorities after he was accused of taking nearly $4 million in bribes and kickbacks.

Prosecutors say he covered up the payments by claiming they were "referral fees" from work as a personal injury lawyer.

But U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara says Silver never did any legal work at all.

He appeared in court where he was freed on $200,000 bond.

Silver did not enter a plea, but maintained his innocence outside court.

Many Democrats say they are waiting to hear's Silver's side of the story before condemning him

However, Mayor Bill de Blasio came to his defense and says he's known Silver to be a "man of integrity."

If convicted of any of the five counts against him, Silver would be forced to resign from his position.
