Looking to take in a show but overwhelmed by the amount of choices? Look no further. "On Stage" host Frank DiLella will be curating a list of “must-see” shows every week, directing you to the best of Broadway, off-Broadway and beyond. Here's his picks for this week.

“New York, New York” on Broadway

Start spreadin’ the news… the new musical “New York, New York” is now in previews at The St. James Theatre.

The show, inspired by the Martin Scorsese film that starred Liza Minnelli and Robert DeNiro, features a score by John Kander and Fred Ebb of “Cabaret” and “Chicago” — with additional material by “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The musical is being directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman — one of Frank DiLella’s all-time favorites.

“New York, New York” officially opens on April 26.

John Lloyd Young at The Café Carlyle

From March 28 to April 1, Tony and Grammy award winner from “Jersey Boys” John Lloyd Young returns to the famed venue with an evening of Golden Era classics.

Expect to hear tunes recorded by the Four Seasons, Little Anthony and the Imperials and more.

Jean Louisa Kelly at The Laurie Beechman Theatre

And sticking with cabaret, stage and film star Jean Louisa Kelly, who was last seen in “Top Gun: Maverick,” is set to perform at The Laurie Beechman Theatre on March 31.

Kelly is back with her acclaimed show “Anything Can Happen!”

Join Jean Louisa as she takes you on her show-biz journey from small-town New Englander to Hollywood and Broadway performer.

Jim Caruso’s “Cast Party” at Birdland

On Monday night, check out Jim Caruso’s weekly industry open mic musical hang “Cast Party” at Birdland Jazz Club.

Think of this as “American Idol” meets “The Tonight Show” hosted by one of the snazziest guys in the business.

You never know who you’re going to see on stage at Birdland. It begins at 9:30 p.m.

Bianca Marroquín at 54 Below

Moving to Broadway’s supper club, current “Chicago” star Bianca Marroquín returns to 54 Below with her show “Where You Are.”

“I’m looking forward to returning to 54 below April 1. It’s a Saturday 9:30 p.m. with my very eclectic concert where you are celebrating life, dance, song, music, everything about everything we’ve experienced: love, pain, success, all of it. Come and join me and I hope you enjoy this journey with me,” Marroquín shared.
