Following the deadly nightclub shooting in Orlando, the Tony Awards is dedicating Sunday's ceremony to those affected by the shooting.

"Our hearts are heavy for the unimaginable tragedy that happened last night in Orlando. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those affected," the Tonys said in a statement. "The Tony Awards dedicate tonight's ceremony to them."Broadway's brightest stars will be honored Sunday at the Tony Awards.

The smash hit hip-hop musical "Hamilton" leads the packs with a record 16 nominations, including Best Musical.

Its composer and star, Lin-Manuel Miranda, was also nominated for Best Book, Best Music and Lyrics, and Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical.

Co-star Leslie Odom, Jr. is up for Best Actor as well.

The other nominees for Best Musical are "Bright Star," "School of Rock," "Shuffle Along," and "Waitress."

The shows vying for Best Play are "Eclipsed," "The Father," "The Humans," and "King Charles III."
