The 1991 Broadway musical "The Secret Garden" is set to return to the New York theater scene for 2 nights only, beginning on Sunday. NY1’s Frank DiLella filed the following preview.

The 1991 Broadway musical "The Secret Garden" is set to blossom once again on the New York stage, but for two nights only!

The show, which is based on the classic novel, is being brought back to life by Manhattan Concert Productions.

The semi-staged presentation will star some top notch talent, including Sydney Lucas as the young Mary Lennox, Sierra Boggess as her Aunt Lily, along with Cheyenne Jackson and Ramin Karimloo as Mary's uncles Neville and Archibald Craven.

"As a singer it just makes you want to sing,” actor Ramin Karimloo says. “It tells a story through the sound, let alone the great lyrics."

The musical was nominated for seven Tony Awards, and won three. Actress Daisy Eagan took home the statue for Best Featured Actress in a musical for her portrayal of Mary Lennox at the tender age of 11, making her the second youngest recipient of the award. Now 36, she’s returning to the Garden with the concert, this time taking on the jovial chambermaid Martha.

"I think it's been in my head for some time, like, 'Oh, now I'm old enough to do that.' So I think I've accustomed myself to the idea of it,” Eagan says.

And as April will mark the 25th anniversary of the "The Secret Garden's" debut on Broadway, is it time for a full-fledged revival?

"We are working on it,” Composer Lucy Simon says. “We're in the process of making a production agreement in DC and Seattle that hopefully has the ability to come to New York. We all want it to come back to New York.”

Until then, you can catch "The Secret Garden" at The David Geffen Hall on February 21 and 22.
