Erick Adame knows how to track a storm down to the minute, but that’s not quite the case when it comes to the subways - Erick recalls the moment that he found himself lost, searching for an exit from the 34th Street subway station, as one of his most memorable commuter moments.
Born in upstate New York, Erick has been a New Yorker his whole life, but now considers himself a full-fledged New Yorker after moving closer to the five boroughs.
Erick began his NY1 affiliation in 2017 after 10 years at Spectrum News in upstate NY, where he covered Hurricane Sandy and the myriad relief efforts that came to aid New York City from other parts of the country.
When not filling viewers in on the forecast, you can find Erick either at home with his two cats, or out touring a local brewery. This former home brewer has decided to leave the brewing to the pros, but still enjoys a tour through the process.
