Zack Fink came to NY1 as a freelance general assignment reporter in July of 2011. In January of 2012, he joined NY1's political unit to become the news channel's Albany Reporter.

He now covers state politics, including Governor Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.

Fink began his career in radio, breaking into the business in New York City at WBAI-FM, Associated Press Radio, and NPR. He made the jump to TV when he took a reporting job at Bronxnet TV.

Fink then moved to the New Jersey Network where he spent 13 years, the last three as the station's State House correspondent based in Trenton, where he covered the campaign and first year in office of Governor Chris Christie.

He also freelanced at Fox 29 News in Philadelphia, WWOR-TV in New Jersey, and WNYW-TV in New York.
