Tara Lynn joined the NY1 team in March 2007 – but she’s no stranger to the area, having grown up just over the George Washington Bridge.

Given her Jersey roots, she joined NY1 as an anchor for Your New Jersey News Now, before moving over to Your Staten Island News Now as an anchor/video journalist.

She has reported live from events including Pope Benedict's historic 2008 visit and the Giants' amazing come-from-behind victory in Super Bowl XLII.

When NY1 launched the Real Estate Report in 2008, Tara Lynn was assigned the new beat, covering the dramatically-changing housing market. Now her focus is on Money Matters, a beat that finds her wading through the world of personal finance and wallet woes.

A graduate of Bard College, Tara Lynn has won numerous awards for her work, including the New York State Broadcasters Association Television Award for Outstanding Feature News Story and the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Award for Best Feature and Best Interview.

Before landing her first news job in Tennessee, Tara Lynn toured the United States and Asia doing musical theatre and met her husband on the set of "Saturday Night Live." She adores her nephews, Liam and Logan, is an avid theatre-goer, and can sometimes be spotted on the West Side Highway, swinging on a flying trapeze.
