Erin Clarke joined NY1 as the Bronx reporter in September of 2012. She began her tenure with the 24-hour news channel by covering Hurricane Sandy.

Prior to joining NY1, she covered the devastating flooding caused by Hurricane Irene in New York State's Southern Tier while working for NY1's sister station, YNN. During her time at YNN, Clarke also reported on countless snowstorms and nor'easters.

Clarke began her broadcast career in Binghamton where she covered the mass shooting at the American Civic Association and flew with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. In Binghamton, she also anchored and produced the weekend newscast at WICZ-TV.

Clarke, a Brooklyn native, earned a Bachelors of Art in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh. She earned a Masters of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University's prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication.

She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the National Association of Black Journalists.
