A Marble Hill family is fed up waiting years for a big purchase that hasn't been delivered yet. NY1’s Susan Jhun filed this report.

After two years of waiting and over $14,000 spent on custom made kitchen cabinets, John and Christine Clark have absolutely nothing to show for it.

“Two years wasted and without that money we couldn't proceed,” says John Clark.

The couple planned to start remodeling their kitchen two summers ago when they ordered custom cabinets from Tarallo Distributors in the Bronx. They say all they've heard from the store since then is one excuse after another.

“Either there was a delay or waiting,” says Clark.

The Clarks say they have repeatedly asked for their money back to no avail.

We checked with the Better Business Bureau and found Tarallo has an F rating. A BBB spokesman told us the company has had 14 complaints lodged against it in the past three years, and it's failed to respond to 12 of those complaints.

We called Tarallo and the manager told us the delays were due to problems with the manufacturer. He also claimed that most of the disputes on record with the BBB have been worked out. After much back and forth, the manager finally agreed to give the Clarks a full refund. He went on to say he will need some time to get a plan in place to issue the refund because it’s a lot of money. No kidding, say the Clarks who hope the check will really be in the mail.

We will keep you updated.
