BRONX, N.Y. - Subway riders in the Bronx can now use the MTA's tap-and-go system at every station in the borough.

The MTA says more than 60 percent of the entire subway system now has OMNY.

Every subway station in the city is expected to have OMNY by the end of year, with the fare readers also installed on every bus.

The MTA says the next step is to bring OMNY to the rest of the 2, 3, 4, and 5 lines.

"Our goal is to have these four lines completely contactless from The Bronx in the North to Brooklyn in the South by the end of this month. From there, we move on to the Queens Boulevard line," said OMNY Program Executive Al Putre.

Once OMNY is completely installed, the MTA will introduce all remaining fare options, including unlimited ride passes, reduced fares, student fares, and more.

A physical OMNY card is also set to be introduced next year.
