The NYPD is searching for the man who brutally assaulted and robbed a man in the Bronx and it was all caught on surveillance video.

Police released this video which at times becomes extremely violent of the man wearing a red jacket repeatedly punching and kicking the victim in the face and stomach.

Investigators say it happened Sunday morning around 3 a.m. at 183rd Street and Aqueduct Avenue in University Heights.

Police say the attacker engaged in conversation with the victim before violently attacking him.

Video then shows him removing various belongings.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police are giving up to a $2,500 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the attacker.

The individual is described as a male, 5'7" and 160lbs. He was last seen wearing a red coat with a fur-lined hood, gray sweatpants and white sneakers.
