Police are investigating a bodega robbery in Queens over the weekend.

One man was shot while trying to stop the suspected robbers.

Investigators say three men stole about $2,000 cash from the register at the store on 36th Avenue in Astoria on Saturday night.

As the men ran away, they were chased by Asel Ahmed, who is related to the bodega owner.

Ahmed was shot in the leg during the chase.

He is now recovering at the hospital.

Police are still looking for his attackers.
