Some morning snowfall is partially to blame for a deadly crash in Southport.

The Chemung County Sheriffs said two pickup trucks collided on Route 328 a little after 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to investigators, a southbound truck started to fishtail and veer off the shoulder between Sagetown Road and the Pennsylvania Avenue roundabout. It crossed the center line, hitting an oncoming truck.

The driver of that second truck was killed on impact. The other driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies have not released the victims' names yet. The crash remains under investigation.
