More than 1,000 people packed into Frontier Field today for the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

People with Alzheimer's and their loved ones are walking to raise money for care, research and support.

Organizers say more than 5.7 million people in the U.S are living with Alzheimer's, but it's not just the patient who is affected by the disease.

"With Alzheimer's Disease, there's a caregiver, there are three to four caregivers, so many of us, almost everyone, is touched somehow by the impact of this disease," said Alzheimer's Association Rochester & Finger Lakes Teresa Galbier.

The local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association tells us its raised more than $400,000 this season, shattering its previous fund raising records.
