As a a busy investment banker on Wall Street, Sarah Carson was always looking for the perfect day into night work dress that was comfortable and didn’t have to go to the dry cleaners or be ironed. When she couldn’t find what she was looking for she decided to start her own label. The experts in the Garment Center decided to take a chance on Carson when she wanted to put in an order for as little as 5 dresses. Today she is paying NYC’s factories back with her loyalty; making 200-thousand pieces a year all NYC-made. She could produce her line overseas for less money but she believes continued input from experts here helps her improve her make the best product possible for the women she dresses.
