NEW YORK - Mayor Bill de Blasio signed a bill Monday to allow the city's school zone speed cameras to start issuing tickets again.

The move comes a day before classes resume at schools around the city.

The City Council approved the bill to reactivate the cameras last week.

That came after Governor Cuomo signed an executive order reactivating the camera program for 30 days.

The program expired in July after the State Senate didn't renew it.

Since then, more than a 130,000 drivers have been caught speeding.

But no drivers have been ticketed.
