Human remains that were found in a Bronx park Tuesday night, just days after ones were found in another city park in the borough, are now believed to be from the same victim, sources tell NY1.

The NYPD says on Tuesday a passer-by in Barretto Point Park in Hunts Point found the plastic bags that contained what is believed to be human body parts around 7:20 p.m.

A city parks department worker discovered two bags containing human remains in Crotona Park on Friday, officials said.

Police at the time said they believe the bags contained the remains of a woman.

The victim has not been identified.

Officials said a knife was also found at that scene, but it's unknown if it's linked to the case.

The two parks are less than five miles away from each other.
