A woman who was stabbed by her ex-boyfriend is recovering after she was saved by some quick-thinking cops in the Bronx.

The NYPD says the man forced his way into the woman's apartment yesterday, stabbed her with a kitchen knife, and left her to die.

When Officers Steve Yankowski and Justin Sokol arrived at the scene, they made a tourniquet out of a T-shirt and used that to stop the bleeding.

Yankowski and Sokol called for backup, and two other patrol officers, Tanya Acevedo and Steven D’Alisera, responded with a proper tourniquet.

Acevedo spoke to the victim in Spanish to keep her from blacking out.

“She was going in and out I kept telling her, ‘Stay up, stay with me. Who did this?’” Acevedo said.

“Remember your kids. Fight for your kids,” she told the victim, who regained consciousness and gasped, “I don’t want to die!”

The woman was taken to the hospital where she is in stable condition.

The ex-boyfriend has been identified as Wilson Rojas.

He was arrested at Kennedy Airport as he tried to board a flight to the Dominican Republic.

Rojas has a history of domestic incidents with two prior ex-girlfriends and his parents, police said. He’s charged with attempted murder, police said.
