Two men are wanted for a pair of gunpoint robberies, about 30 minutes apart in the Bronx early Friday morning.

Police said Sunday that the duo first robbed a Kennedy Fried Chicken on Crotona Ave. and East 183rd St. in the Belmont section of the borough around 2:25 a.m.

Investigators said one of the men hit a 27-year-old employee in the head with a gun several times before taking about $1,000 in cash from the register and fleeing with the other man, who acted as a lookout. The employee was not seriously hurt and refused medical attention at the scene.

About 35 minutes later, according to police, the men robbed a bodega about three miles away, on West 231st St. near Kingsbridge Ave.

Surveillance video the city police department released shows a man, whose face was partially covered, walking into the bodega with a black handgun.

Police said the man with the gun pointed it at a 23-year-old store employee and demanded money while the second man, whose face was also covered, removed about $5,500 from a register. Both men then fled the scene, and no injuries were reported.

Both men were described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall. One wore a white t-shirt, a black and blue baseball cap, black sweatpants, black sneakers, black gloves, and a black piece of clothing covering his face.

The second man is seen in the surveillance video wearing a black hat with "New York" written on the front, blue jeans, black sneakers, a black-hooded sweatshirt, and a black piece of clothing covering his face.
