The disappointment continued for Phish fans as their Curveball festival was canceled due to the recent flooding. It was expected to take place this weekend.

The canceled Phish festival would have brought in millions of dollars to Schuyler County. In fact, the festival itself sold all of its 40,000 tickets. Fans from as far away as places like Maine, Colorado and Michigan are now making their way home.

Schuyler County is expected to lose millions in sales tax revenue.

The Department of Health refused permits after water testing revealed clean drinkable water wouldn’t have been available.

WGI President Michael Printup said this is the first time he’s had an event canceled.

“We’ve had postponements," said Printup. "We’ve had races that should’ve gone on on Sunday going on on Monday, but we’ve never had a cancellation so it was something new."

Organizers have not released refund information yet. This would have been the third time the band made its way to Watkins Glen. Their next scheduled concert is in Denver.
