No one expects a Tuesday to end with flooded backyards but that was the reality for Pulaski resident John Kimball who says he used multiple pumps to clear out his flooded basement.

"I dont' know," said Kimball when asked if his basement was destroyed. "We'll see."

The village was one of several areas throughout Central and Northern New York to see some flooding. But those in the village say this was the first flooding of the season, unusual for an area that may see heavy rains earlier in the summer seasons.

"We still have some roads that have a little water running across them, we still have homes in the village that are still clearing out basements but there aren't any major impassable roads or anything of that nature that I've noticed," said Pulaski Police Officer Kevin Dix.

With the effort of police, the fire department, the department of public works and more, all were safe, though it's unclear how severe the flooding was for homeowners.

"We just coordinated, making sure everyone gets heard and everyone gets to work together," said Dix.

Though there were no reports of major damage or injuries, Kimball will be left pumping his home of some unwelcome water.
