Police believe they know who tossed an infant into the East River.

As NY1 has reported, the baby was pulled from the water Sunday, near the Brooklyn Bridge.

Police sources say police believe the baby's father is responsible and has fled from the Bronx to Thailand.

According to law enforcement sources, the baby's parents were in a custody battle, and the mother became nervous when the baby was not returned home Monday.

She contacted police after seeing news reports about the baby found in the river, according to sources.

Sources say police are looking at surveillance video and tracking the father's moves.
