NEW YORK - Sarabeth's restaurant on the Upper West Side reopened Monday after a man apparently jumped out of the freezer and tried to attack the staff before dying of a heart attack.

It happened around 11 a.m. Sunday.

Police sources tell NY1 the man, identified as Carlton Henderson, 54, of Arizona, lunged at employees with a kitchen knife, saying the words "get away from me, Satan."

They were able to subdue him before anyone was hurt.

"This is not something that you expect in the Upper West Side or anywhere," said one passerby.

"It just makes me wonder. Like does any of these establishments how safe they actually are. I mean there's no security standing outside," noted another passerby.

Henderson later died at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital.

Police sources say he may have been in the freezer for about two hours.
