ALBANY, N.Y. - New York State is taking another step to protect its voting system.

Governor Andrew Cuomo says the state plans to contract services that will assess cyber security risk and use enchanced intrusion detection devices.

There is $5 million in the state budget to help expand and support election cyber security infrastructure.

Last week Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced the indictment of 12 Russian Intelligence officers for hacking into the Democrats computer networks during the 2016 election to help President Donald Trump.
