A man has been arrested in connection to a triple stabbing in Brooklyn that left a 15-year-old dead and two men hurt, the city police department said Sunday.

Brooklyn resident Jayson Smith, 25, faces multiple charges that include murder and gang assault.

Authorities said the stabbing happened around 6:10 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Belmont Ave. and Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville.

Police said they found the 15-year-old boy stabbed in the abdomen at the scene, an 18-year-old stabbed in the chest, and a 25-year-old man stabbed in his right shoulder.

The victims were taken to a local hospital, where the teen was pronounced dead. The other two victims were listed in stable condition.

Authorities said a preliminary investigation found that a dispute between a group of men preceded the stabbings.

Officials have not released the victims' identities at this time.
