NY1 has learned some exclusive information about the number of children taken from their families along the southern border and brought into states around the nation.

A federal source tells political reporter Josh Robin that there are currently 2,047 migrant children who were separated from their families in the United States, including 327 in New York State.

Information regarding their precise whereabouts is not being shared with state or city officials.

It is still unclear when these children will be reunited with their families.
