A new ad campaign by the city is showing New Yorkers how smoking cigarettes can really add up.

The "What's in your ashtray" ad emphasizes the cost of cigarettes by showing items like grocery receipts and vacation brochures burning up in an ashtray.

It comes days after the city raised the minimum price for a pack of cigartettes from $10.50 to $13 per pack, which is the highest price for cigarettes nationwide.

The health department is offering free nicotine patches or lozenges to smokers who need help kicking the habit, but you need to apply by June 27.
