A Bronx man was found stabbed to death in his apartment Monday, the NYPD said.

Police say Owen Dillard was found on his living room floor around 10:30 p.m. at 352 Beekman Avenue in Mott Haven.

The 73-year-old had stab wounds to his neck, according to police.

"I was shocked. I was stunned. This has never happened in this building, and I've been here many, many years also. I'm stunned," Dillard's ex-wife told NY1. "Everybody knew this gentleman. I don't know. Why would they do that?"

Dillard's ex-wife did not want to be shown on camera. She said she had a relationship with him "for 30 years-plus."

"He's going to be missed very much, I'm sure," she said.

The New York Daily News reports that Dillard had recently earned $10,000 from a lotto win.

Police say no weapons were found at the scene.

No arrests have been made.
