A design concept was unveiled Wednesday for a new space at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum to be dedicated to those who are suffering or have died from exposure to World Trade Center toxins.

"My husband and I are both sick from 9/11 toxins, and we know how this is going to end for us," said Sonia Agron, who worked amid the smoldering ruins of the World Trade Center with her husband Jose.

The space, known as the Memorial Glade, will also honor the men and woman of the rescue and recovery effort, which ended 16 years ago Wednesday.

Recovery workers are still dying because of the cancer-causing particles and chemicals that filled the air after terrorists destroyed the Twin Towers.

The design includes a pathway, and it will be located where the primary ramp used during the rescue operation once stood.

Former "The Daily Show" Host Jon Stewart assisted in the unveiling.

He is also leading a fundraising effort that will help pay for construction.
