Police are investigating after a woman is found fatally stabbed inside her Queens apartment.

Investigators say they found Donna Blanchard Wednesday morning at the Astoria Houses.

She had a knife sticking out of her back.

The 64-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Tragic and hurtful because I loved her. That was the best woman in the world," said one neighbor.

No arrests have been made.
