Acting Chairman of A&E Networks Abbe Raven acted as the "Principal for a Day," at the Arts and Humanities Magnet High School in Cambria Heights Tuesday.

Raven, who graduated from what was once Andrew Jackson High School, was there with Pencil, a City nonprofit pairing business leaders with schools to show students where they can go with their careers.

During Tuesday's visit, Raven met with students looking to follow her footsteps.

"I grew up in this neighborhood," she said. "If you have a dream and if yo uhave a belief in yourself and work really, really hard, you can become anything you want to be."

Raven was one of about one hundred "Principals for a Day" with Pencil throughout the City this year.
