RALEIGH, N.C. -- Breezy warm conditions for Thursday will give way to cooler air behind a cold front that has moved through the region.

Chilly air arrives overnight bringing the chance of patchy light frost across northern sections of central North Carolina. Overnight lows will range from the low 30s near the Virginia line to near 40 across the Sandhills.

Cooler days in the forecast as we head towards the weekend. Highs Friday will range through the low to mid 60s warming to mid to upper 60s for the weekend. Plenty of sunshine is expected for the weekend, clouds will be on the increase Monday night with our next chance of rain on Monday.
